Angel’s Watch

Angel’s Watch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting pet families experiencing financial hardship through the generosity of our donor community. Our mission is to help families access compassionate end-of-life care for their beloved pets through Angel’s Paws in the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio area.

We are deeply grateful to the donors who make this assistance possible. Because our funding is limited, we continually evaluate how we can responsibly steward every donation and extend our reach to as many families and pets as possible.

Program and Eligibility:

Beginning October 1, 2026, families who meet the financial eligibility requirements may receive Angel’s Watch grant assistance for one pet’s end-of-life care.

Eligible services may include:

  • In-home euthanasia

  • Private cremation

  • Communal cremation

To help us continue serving as many families as possible, the family receiving assistance will be responsible for a minimum contribution of $50 toward services.

This shared contribution allows Angel’s Watch to stretch donor-supported funds further, helping us say “yes” to more families when they need us most.

A note to our pet families:

Asking for help during the final days of a beloved pet’s life can be difficult. Please know that accepting assistance does not diminish the love, care, or commitment you have given your pet. Angel’s Watch exists because we believe that financial hardship should not prevent a family from being able to provide a compassionate goodbye.

We also hope that, when circumstances allow, families who receive assistance will consider paying that kindness forward. A future gift, a donation, sharing our mission with another family, or simply offering encouragement to someone walking a similar path can help continue the circle of compassion.

Today, you may be the family receiving a helping hand. Tomorrow, when you are able, you may be the reason another family receives one.

Steps for Qualification & Request for Services:

  1. Provide proof of financial need.

    Proof of financial need is required for qualification. Please have one of the following available in digital format to submit with your application:

    A. Participation in a qualifying assistance program, such as:

    • Medicaid

    • SNAP

    • WIC

    • TANF

    Proof of participation must be dated within the past 60 days.

    OR

    B. A CareCredit application denial

    You may apply for CareCredit at CareCredit.com. Proof of denial, such as a denial reference number, will be required. Please take a screenshot when you reach the screen with your denial number to use as your proof.

    2. Complete the Angel’s Watch Financial Need Application.

    3. Request an Angel’s Paws appointment.

    4. Application Review.

    • Once all required steps have been completed, your application will be reviewed for eligibility.

    • An Angel’s Paws team member will contact you regarding your qualification status and the next steps for confirming your appointment.

    • Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee approval. Assistance is subject to eligibility requirements and the availability of Angel’s Watch funding.

Client Responsibility

Families receiving Angel’s Watch assistance are responsible for:

  1. A minimum $50 contribution toward eligible services, including home euthanasia, private cremation, or communal cremation.

  2. Transportation of a pet who has passed at home to the Angel’s Paws facility in Blue Ash when cremation services are requested.

  3. Any optional keepsakes or additional items selected by the family, such as paw prints, clay paw prints, urns, necklaces, or other memorial items.

Planning Ahead: The Rainbow Bridge Pre-Planning Program

Planning for the end of a pet’s life can be difficult, but preparing in advance can help families feel more confident about their choices when the time comes.

The Rainbow Bridge Pre-Planning Program is a resource that allows pet parents to save toward future end-of-life services while providing flexibility in how they plan and save for their pets.

Taking small steps today can make an emotional time a little easier tomorrow.

Financial Assistance for end-of-life care

Angel’s Watch was created because we believe that every beloved pet deserves compassion, dignity, and a loving goodbye, regardless of a family’s financial circumstances.

Our donor-supported funding is limited, and every dollar entrusted to Angel’s Watch represents someone's generosity and belief in this mission. By limiting assistance to one pet per qualifying family and asking families to contribute at least $50 when they are able, we can help make those donor dollars reach further and support more families throughout our community.
