Jet's Journey - A Lifetime of Loyalty, A Moment of Need

Jet, a cherished member of his family for nearly 16 years, lived a full life, filled with outdoor adventures and endless love. Recently, however, age brought challenges, including declining mobility and cognitive function, making his final stages of life difficult. Despite his struggles, Jet's family committed to providing him comfort and dignity in his final stages of life.

This past year brought unexpected turns for Jet's family. A new baby arrived, bringing immense joy but also the stress of financial hardship due to unpaid parental leave. Returning to work and catching up financially proved challenging. When Jet suddenly lost the use of his rear legs, the family, already stretched thin, faced the daunting prospect of managing his end-of-life care alongside their other commitments.

It would allow me to continue providing him with the care, comfort, and dignity he deserves in this final stage of his life, without having to sacrifice other critical needs for our household. He has been by my side for nearly 16 years through countless milestones and challenges. After everything he has given us, it is deeply important to me to make sure his last days are as peaceful and pain-free as possible.”

Jet’s family sought guidance of a veterinarian to assess his condition and help make an informed decision about his quality of life. Most importantly, they needed compassionate support to explore options for his care without the fear of an unmanageable bill.
